God damn.

Why does everyone use the same samples?

It's a nifty song.

But that's about it, it sounds dry and unentertaining, I'm sad to say.

The piano has a nice tone when accompanied with the guitar, but you never switch them up and make it sound different. It doesn't even really sound like it progresses along in the song, it just sounds like it's getting louder.

The reverb on those drums are horrible, I'm sad to say. Adding reverb to every aspect of your drums is probably one of the worst things you could ever do to your EQ. Having a heavy reverb on your hat hurts nothing since it's a higher freq, reverb on the snare is ok as so long as it's not so heavy, or if the sample is too "thick", but reverb on ANY kick drum is a big no no, unless you plan on zapping the bass out of it and adding some other drums behind it that are well EQed.

Oh well. Can't say I enjoyed it personally.

Hm?

What happened to that one awesome reese sound that you showed me that one night? The reese in this song just plain sucks, bro. You need to let this song's colors shine.

I'll be sure to listen to the full version.

Keep it easy bro;

Hey.

TRY ON YOUR NEXT SONG OR ILL CHOKE YOU WITH MY MASSIVE E-SOCK.

AND COCK.

K man, keep it easy.

-Zenon

Huh.

I'm personally a hardcore/gabber fan, so I actually enjoyed this. The only thing I hated about it was that in the beginning in you had a great triplet build-up, and I expected the entire song to keep that same feel. But you switched it to normal 4/4 time for the rest of the song, and I was really disappointed in that.

I know you did this for a LOL CONTEST moment, so I can't drill you for that though.

Keep it easy buddy;

I'll be honest with you

I'd never find a use for these sounds. But I can appreciate the effort you put into MAKING these sounds, nonetheless.

Awesome stuff man. Actually sounds like rain 'n shit.

Rig responds:

I wouldn't have any use for this thing either. But darnit, it was fun to make. Thanks for the support!

And thank YOU, NG, for the 8 mb limit. :-)

God damn!

That crunching sounds fucking gross! Awesome!

Keep this up!

Rig responds:

It's amazing what a silly computer mic can do, eh? Thanks!

Jesus Christ.

In a small loop,you've managed to use ever single of Pendulum's cliches. Many lols were spread around the toast after listening to this.

Nifty.

I swear to God you've been listening to too much Benassi or something. Got my head bobbin', at least. Some awesome drum roll breaks n' shit in there.

Keep it easy;

PS: IM EATIN' CHIKEN

StereoTactik responds:

Not Benassi, actually. Spor. He's been making some experimental Breaks stuff lately, and it really inspired me.

CAN I HAS CHIKEN 2OO?

<3 loops.

For seriously though. They are the easiest to review; here's a tip for a loop though; fill them FULL. That way, people can see your true skills. Imagine a loop as a short song, but without any real arrangement. So, do your best to make them as interesting and diverse as possible.

The cello melody was alright. It was nothing that I'd be able to remember and hum later on, so try to keep your melodies nice and short so people can remember them. As for the drums, I liked the filtered Amen break... but thatw as it. There was no real slicing done with the Amen, and you didn't add your own drums.

You see, the amen is there to add that "sick fill" feel to your drums. Amen drums in good drum n bass tracks usually have no bass, and they are extremely complicated. But, when you add your own drums on top of them (which are EQed to be thick and bassy) it adds that drum n bass "boom-chik-ka-boom-chik-ka-chika-chik a".

You're getting there :)

boney-man responds:

LOL out of all my songs to give a nice long review to, this one. You HAVE to see my new song Cyborg. It's my best DNB so far.

Thanks for the review!
(Hopefully you'll check out Cyborg)
