Great string work. but i wuld lose the MIDI strings that you used....it gives it a final fantasy feel to it. that can be good or bad.
the piano part(skipping ahead in the song) was genius man. It was midi too, but wow, it was completely amazing. even though i would have thrown in a nice DNB beat half way in the piano riff, it was still amazing.

i see that you are trying to copy my kick. lolz well for a little advice...
the volume is nice, but remember, if your gonna use my style of kick, you cant have a compressor. that will make it OD(like i heard a few times) due to the volume. and the compressor will try to hoold the volume back and package it up, but it dont work too great.
if the little bar thingy goes red its not the end of the world.
actually mine is stuck up there during choruses and melodies O_O
AND NO FAST DIST ON THE KICK

that gave a soft song a rave feel.

it didnt ruin the song, but it...didnt fit.
keep that in mind. only use fast dist on the kick if its rave.

now....if you e-mail this masterpiece to me to remix it...

great work first off.
Dont do that with basslines. basslines should not move on each note. it kinda gives it a very 'uneven' look at things.

you added a very nice, powerful trance arp. Nice little chorus thing you got goin on. remember that arp is there to make the song a lot more....grittier.
the arp is what puts the rave in trance. wait that didnt work...w/e but you get the picture

i know you do casue i heard the nice piano, and FL5 is the only FL so far to have a piano, so maybe you should try using the other pre-VSTs they give you.
like sytrus. thast one hell of a powerful lead man.

as mor the drums. Just grab some things that go click,tap,boom and a nice open hi hat, and nice solid kick and snare/clap, mix em together and there you go!

Dont...use loops. too many n00bs use loops on newgrounds...(im not calling you a n00b) i jst got really, REALLY sick of the loops that are premade in fruity loops.
yes it does sound good.
it fits very well...just its a little over used in my opinion.
instead of using loops, get some weaker versions of the drums that your using and make a 'loop' in that,(like you could have an awesome DNB loops goin that you made of course in the backround, and it could make it so damned solid man, id probably dance. and i dont dance. i usually hurt myself) then you have that goin with the beat.

it works so well man. u gotta try it.

Thanks again for the review blackhawk... This is actually very old, I made it along time before all of my other songs on NG. Thats why that drum loop is in there, lol, I never use premade loops or synth presets anymore. But if theres one thing I suck at in FL, its making drumloops. I can never seem to get it right. Oh well, practice makes perfect. Thanks again.

wow man

you seem to be picking up in this thing pretty fast.
The trance part is nice, the kick is appropriate for this song, but try and find song nice samples for different claps. usually a nice, fast abrupt clap works best. but im different than everyone else, so go looking around google or something.
very calming, and has nice infected mushroom hi hats, the snare roll was satisfying.
At the end though i would have switched the normal piano riff with a Synth lead chorus instrument, just to make the ending a litle mre propelling and driving.

keep on making this kind of music...i see lots of room for improvment. i hope to see your next song!

nice 16-bit solo you got in there. those are as fun as hell to write man :)
I like the destroyed distortion on the drums. the end was nice, but id put a little more work into the actual end sequencing. Just to make it a little cleaner.
Maybe you could have made the song a little more 'pulled together' by adding a very soft pad in the backround.

now for the beginning...lol

the Dark wave moans/screams work well(i didnt notice them until the song looped for what, the 5th time?) The car noises work so well man, i wouldnt have stopped them in the song. i would have kept them goin, then you woulnd't have to have a damned pad, you could just have those as your pull together instrument.

Well actually, nothing is sequenced here.. everything is "as recorded with the midikeyboard".. This give the wholoe thing a more groovy feel to it... IT is supposed to reseble a weeded gameboy, so the offbeat groove is done on purpose...
I tried to have a pad in the background, but then it lost the gameboy-feel to it, and became more of and electronica song...

I'll check out your music later on ok...
and i'll leave som reviews if there something i like
