You know I love it.

I'm going to download this after I'm done reviewing it, BTW.

The song is very subtle, and personally, I would have liked a more 'out there' delay on the guitar. it just kinda fades away, when I thionk it should linger for a while, letting people that it is raining, instead of sprinkling.

The entire song is a glitchy treat for the lower regions of my body. Magnificent.

5/5 10/10. Beautiful.

LJCoffee responds:

Hey hey - thanks !

this one is more ... umm .. soothing than some of the other stuff.

I'm really glad that you liked it enough to bother downloading it though - that's very cool of you!

Well.

Its exactly the same as the original. No new riffs, no nothing. Just nice samples >:/

Eh, whatever...

Oh, and during the parts where you had the two trumpets/trombones playing, the sounds collided a bit. Maybe you could ahve changed the octaves a bit.

Realmguys responds:

Not sure why people think I use samples on this... This is played, patched, and quantized on my synth. These sounds are honest to goodness waveforms. To an untrained ear, this may sound exactly the same as the original; as the theme and melody are the same. New intstruments and new harmonies are what makes it stand out. I nixxed some of the bad instruments and harmonies that seemed dissonant. I will agree that it gets muddy with my horns. Brass is something I really need to work on.
Thanks for the review bud, you have quite a nack for music yourself I must say.

Sigh.

Another artist leaving... I can't dish out emotion to ALL of you guys >:(

Good work, keep it up, blah blah blah, you know. The routine.

But most importantly...

Good luck. :)

MaestroSorrow responds:

thanks Zenon. I wouldn't want you to turn Emo now!!!!!!!

TURN EMO!

XD

I lawl.

Thanks man, means a lot.

All of these patterns

Sound exactly like the ones that are on garageband.

So, using my superior logic and amazing abilites of common sense, you are using preset loops from garageband?

I am ashamed of you, if this is true. <:(

RemedyX responds:

Lol
Ownage

Music to my ears.

PS +1 response :P

Its a loop, so

I'll review it.

Why does this sound like punk, or ska? :O

Your singing is actually pretty good, man. My advice is only with the msatering, since the drums are good and simple, and the guitar is well played.

Turn down the guitar, or lessen up the distoriton a little bit. Its a little too dirty for this type of music :P The drums are at a good volume, I think. Just make sure you can hear the vocals really good, for thats the purpose of them :)

Good work, actually. I'm quite impressd :D

mhb responds:

thanx man. i appreciate the fact that my singin' didn't make your ears bleed. i'll have better vocals when i finish the track. i can't sing too loud hear or my neighbors will make fun of me. but i'm movin' on the 15th so i'll have more privacy then.

Reason is THE DEVIL.

LIKE YOUR MOTHER LOLOLOLOLOLOL

Haha, I joke, I kid.

I'm going to be critical, so don't take this personally :(

I have an issue with your crash cymbal. It only echoes once? Wtf? It would be better if it lasted longer, you know? Like 8 or 9 echoes, and not just a 'DUN-dun'. I want 'Dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-etc'.

The funk melody you had in the beginning was great. Screwing around with filter frequency and resonance sure is fun, no? :)

When you brought in the bassline, I thought it should have been more definitive. All I could hear was a bass sound, the echoe you had on it was rather distracting and took away from the overall feeling of the funky bassline that you had. Try to keep basslines more solid, you know?

It took a rather long time for you to bring those trippy hi hats, and even though, they weren't really that trippy like! We need flangers, we need reverb, we need pitch bending, we need those things to be kick ASS! Not saying they were bad, they added a good amount of groove, but they needed to be more 'goa-ish'. Eh?

When you brought in the full beat with the funky acid line, I was like 'yeah. Now this is fucking cool'. The groove just set in, eh?

Next you bring in this long pad like bass synth? I don't know how'd you describe it... but it causes the sounds to mesh together. It would be good to keep the bassline you had going, and after that bass is all solided up, then at that part you could drop the acid line, and keep that other part pad thingy going. It got really hard to enjoy at the end of the song, there was too much to focus on.

Good work, I am impressed. This is some of the best work I have seen from you yet :)

Keep it up, or zeus will summon demon dogs to eat your toes then spit them out to savage bunny eaters.

RemedyX responds:

Thanks soooo much for the long, constructive review.
Better than the guy under you. I also wanted to extend the song but I didn't want to lower quality just to fit more. Anyways, I already have another song in production.

The audio portal would be so much better if there were more people like you z, seriously.

Do me a favor...

Tell that Kaizer guy that your kids are MINE to have.

>:(

Lolz.

Mid-Night responds:

Lol will do :P

Wow.

I haven't even heard of you before the advertisement you made in the NG BBS. I don't really like it when people leave websites, but hey. You gotta do what you gotta do.

The song is very well arranged, and very well composed. I can't play piano anymore, I gave up on it, so I'll just say that this was pretty well amazing.

The ONLY thing I am going to bug you about is the percussion. It sounds dead and unrealistic. You need some real samples to help you out in the future.

I really liked this song, and its always sad to see another soul leave the AP.

Good work, good luck, and have a good life, hm?

-zenon-

MilkMan-Dan responds:

:)... I don't wanna over-dramatize my leaving newgrounds. But truly... I will miss all the good friends I've made here... all the kind and wonderful reviews.

As for the percussion... :(... sorry. Perhaps some day there will be a time to work on all aspects of my music. That time is not now.

I'll make the best of my life... and thankyou for taking the time to wish me farewell.
