New Music, as well as inactivity

Posted by PERVOK - June 26th, 2009

Friday, June 26th: Broken Lightbulb

This song has been the instrument of my confusion for a long time; procrastination was also rampant in the creation of this piece. I always got stuck, couldn't find different things to add, but eventually got somewhat of a finished project completed. Honestly, I know it could be better quality and music wise, but the lyrics... after working on this song for quite a while, the lyrics kinda... attach to you. Feels like they mean more than they did before (which if you read them, will realize that they mean nothing at all). I even wrote a pretty slick synth solo at the end; I tried to make this song sound very old-school psychedelic.

In other news, I've been really fucking inactive; school's done, my birthday was three days ago, and now today is grad... well, I guess the only real thing I can say is that I hope I don't fall down the stairs!

Keep it easy Newgrounds;

"the lyrics kinda... attach to you"

It's not just possible with the music your create but the music you listen to. In middles school there was a band I listened to all the time. Now when I accidentally stumble across one of their songs, it's like going back in time to when things were simpler and nicer. They're music means so much to me...

Actually, funny story, this band is credited for "starting the emo sound." I'm sure that pisses them off to this day. Even further, when I search them iTunes, I notice they were thrown into an "Emo Essentials" collection. What the fuck corporate America? Stop making genres to make money off of other people. Independent bands can't even escape...

are you really from the 21st century?

They actually got that wrong, it's the 22nd.
